Introducing Corny, the Staley Museum’s newest mascot!

He’s here to share Staley and Decatur history with our visitors—young and old alike!

Corny is a re-imagination of a cartoon corn cob from the Staley Journal. The original ‘Little Kernel’ was created by Hibert Bell (Staley Analyst) and named by Gerry Eubanks (Personnel Placement Supervisor). He was popular from 1949 to 1951.

Corny was re-imagined and designed by Erynn Burge (Museum Assistant Director) and is featured in the Young Historian Activity Book and throughout the exhibits.
